Alternatives to OEM steelie centre cap

Hi all,

I’m after a set of 17 inch wheels with all season tyres. I would love a set with swamper tyres and nice alloys but just can’t afford it so am thinking of getting 17 inch steel Vw wheels and chunky tyres.
I don’t really want to use the plastic Vw centre caps on them - is there any alternative to cover up the hole in the middle if that makes sense?

Most 17” steels come with M&S tyres (Mud and Snow not the shop) and are great in snow and wet weather.
If your on a budget these are great as a starter. Most new vans come with these as standard so look out for these but alas only the boring genuine black caps fit. Other option is getting a set of 17/18” steels/alloys in any brand and buying Swamper tyres for them.
@BognorMotors may have some stuff knocking about??

Re centre caps - there are a couple of alternatives. 1) there are some black centre caps with a big chrome VW badge in the middle 2) you could spray the black caps silver to blend in.

I’m just switching from 18” steels to 17” Devonport alloys powdercoated dark grey with Falken Wildpeak tyres.

I may have a set of nearly new Devonports with M&S tyres on them. Will check tomorrow.

Thanks guys , yup I did not think of devonports . That would work and if they have m+S tyres from the factory that would be perfect until I get some wild peaks.
