255/60 R 18. Continental tyres. Apologies

hey no need to apologise - just trying to help with the sale and information potential buyers would need.

what width are the alloys - 8 inch? Also what offset? On the back, cast into the ally should be ‘ET??’ Where ?? Is a number.

regards
Ian

I’ll have to check, no idea tbh. They are the standard high line ones. I’ll have to check. Thanks for the heads up

255/60 R 18 is 10% bigger in terms of rolling circumference than O.E for a T6, would have very noticeable effect on gearing, and speedo would under-read by 10%.

Would you sell them without the tyres?

I bought a set of these some time ago and the seller wanted to sell the original Amarok tyres with the wheels (the tyres were brand new). A bit of research found that the tyres also fit a number of land rovers / discovery / sport etc.
I managed to sell on the tyres for £230 on eBay marketing them towards Land rover drivers, so was quids in. Just something to bear in mind as the tyres are useless for a T6.

I can't be buyer and seller. As $immo said, the tyres are worthless to most people on here. Your easiest sale would be on a 4x4 forum or ebay, but if you could make a bit more cash parting them out. You need to decide.

Understand that the tyres might be worthless. I’m merely advertising for my brother. If they don’t go then that’s up to him. However someone could offer something, win the bid and sell the tyres them selves. Something that I haven’t the time to do unfortunately

To everyone asking to split the wheels, I say don’t be so lazy. There’s a good market on eBay and marketplace for 255-60-18 tyres. They fit loads of vehicles, L200, Navara, Q7, Amarok to name a few.

I really like these Manaus wheels and have just fitted a set to my T6 Caravelle. My costings were as follows:

Manaus wheels with new tyres. £450
Sold tyres on marketplace (£200)
Powder coat alloys in gloss black sparkle £160 (optional )
New 235-50-18 Bridgestone tyres £450
What I get back for my old Cascavel’s (£???) currently for sale on eBay - 352973823509

So for a net cost of something like £300-£400 I get a brand new set of alloys in a colour of my choosing with brand new top quality tyres - I can live with that !!

Added bonus is the ET of the Manaus is 45, so they stick out a few mill more than Sportline 18’s. AND they are a bit different to every Transporter with boring Sportlines.

I’ll post a picture when Dennis does one !
