We have had an annoying rattle outside of the camper since we bought it 3 years ago, i have looked underneath and not found it.
Whilst it has been for its annual services the garages have looked for it, best suggestion was the tailgate, but no solution.
having recently changed to B14 Komforts the rattle was worse, so i have focused on finding it.
i had also changed discs, pads and braided hoses, and with the windows open yesterday as it was nice i noticed a tap from the rear when i applied the brakes.
i pulled over to investigate and noticed the anti rattle shims moved easily when i prodded them, so this morning i made it my mission to get some new ones.
living just outside the M25 with at least 50 motor factors, VW garages, and vw specialists within a 15 mile radius i thought this would be no problem, but no chance, all had to be ordered in, which when considering the amount of brake pads being changed today at local garages, and the fact these fit on most larger audis from 2006 ish, T4, T5, T6 is a bit worrying.
anyway, a 25 mile drive secured me a set.
Bingo, this appeared to be the problem, it is 95% solved, after about 10 miles i thought i had cracked it, then a slight jingle, but nothing in the next 15 miles.
i will see what happens.
