ARB question - Txx differences

Bare with me here. :) I'm an ex mk4 golf owner.
We used to upgrade using OEM stuff a lot. E.g as 150bhp upgraded to whiteline ARBs we would fit their OEM 150bhp golf ARB's to 130s, Etc.

Thinking about the T28/30/32, do they all use the same ARB or does the T32 have a thicker ARB than the lighter payload vans?
Thx

Different ARBs! And, from what I hear, there is neither rhyme nor reason to what goes on the vans unless it’s a T32, which has the thickest (28mm)

I have a California and it had a 22mm bar......yes, with all that high up weight. Ups grades to a 30mm H&R ARB!

I’m wondering if they are interchangeable.
I.e. fit a used T6 T32 bar and brackets to say my velle which appears to have very thin ARBs.
you’ll have to excuse me if I’m oversimplifying it.

Don’t see why not!

Yes they do fit. At one point you could order the California with the T32 bars. Many on the German cali forum do the retrofit

Fitting thinker roll bars might help prevent flopping over and together with quality dampers help keep a flatter ride through twisty roads. However Anti-Roll-Bars, are not damped and if too strong can induce uncomfortable and constant wiggling, particularly on bumpier roads. The other problem associated with Anti-Roll-Bars with those who use their vehicle for Off-Road use, is the lifting wheel syndrome! That is where going over a lump or bump will induce the wheel on on the opposite side on the same axle to lift completely off the ground! This happens because of the way Anti-Roll-Bars function. They are eventually an UN-damped torsion bar. If pushed one way they cause the bar to force a similar action on the other end by varying the thickness the effect is trimmed. So too much no good, plenty, all right, as they say.:)

@Ukfozzybear you‘ll be able to pick up a barely used T32 ARB cheap as there are plenty of people wanting an ARB painted a fancy colour.
I have a SWB T32 with standard running gear and a pretty heavy Reimo roof, I can happily throw it into a roundabout. Yes it does roll but it’s a van.

Do I need the ARBs for Zenon lights (levelling I assume) if I have LED headlights?

And what is the difference please?

I believe it’s just a sensor that mounts to the arb, it should be transferable (was on the mk5 golfs) Someone who know more will be along soon I’m sure.

It's a sensor that is mounted. @CRS Performance put mine on again when they did my ARBs. They would be my first port of call for all matters suspension related!
