Auto Folding Wing Mirrors

Yes, I appreciate that they will only offer options if they think there will be s significant up take. But auto folding mirrors, would nearly need to be designed out of a modern vehicles can-bus architecture?????

Just an one thing i have notice in ref; to the auto folding of the mirrors , my new van lets you switch the mirrors at any time whether the door is open closed ignition on or off , where as the loan combi only let you close the mirrors in before you opened the door which if you forgot (all the time) you had to switch the ignition back on. Dont no if this makes sense but it must be wired different do you think ?? maybe a E5 E6 difference? .

As said earlier in this thread you can't code this but can do it with an additional control unit, as I have just done with retrofit power folding. Fold on lock is great as I always forget

Options to add auto fold on lock to existing power fold mirrors start from less than £10 if you trust a control unit from China - see my post in Electrics/ICE.

I have the vcds, could you tell us what we need to try for the T6?

Certainly, in cent-elec 09 ,select door modules and you need to select byte2 bit1, you most likely won't have the box there to check so you will have to work out what the HEX value will be and then input it manually, then you need to read apt your window limit stops (very important or it won't work)
As stated in my Ross tech post, mine are 'L' revision four modules,, these are the only ones I know will work, so if anyone is near warrington I'll give it ago for you

WOW WOW WOW @Adams you are a legend !!! This is working for me this morning i cannot believe it .
I have entered your coding into my modules, lock the doors nothing but lock doors and hold finger on the lock button for a second and the mirrors fold. Mirrors dont unfold on unlock but when key is in the ignition.
