Autowatch Ghost - VW Update Fail

Morning all,

Recently took my T6.1 in for a recall and software updates. I've been told that the ghost is not allowing one of the VW software updates to download.
The garage have asked me to disable it while they carry out the update.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure if service mode will do the trick, or whether it has to be completely disabled (which I'm not sure is possible unless it is by a Ghost installer).

Never had this problem with ours but always put into service mode when taken to garage so updates have alway been done in service mode.

Service mode will allow anything to be done however unfortunately as per usual this is dealership bull@#¹t.

We done alsorts of module updates, Remaps, coding changes and adaptations including key reprogramming to the immobiliser and never had a problem.

Dealships do like to blame ghost very quickly I'm affraid.

You need to be a VIP Member to be able to download.
It probably won't help you much anyway because the "service mode" button varies from installation to installation depending on how it was set up by the installer.
For reference mine is the throttle peddle, so I enter my code, wait for the two flashes, then press the throttle peddle five times and wait for the five flashes to acknowledge that the Ghost is in service mode.
It will stay in service mode until either the code is entered or the vehicle is driven over 30mph continuously for over 3 minutes.
