Awning or shade cloth?

My t6 used to be a taxi and has a raised roof out of a different material - (i dont think its metal) The big question is would it be strong enough to have a awning mounted to it? I would hate it to start leaking at the rivets or have the wind rip it out. If anyone has advice or experience with this I would love to hear from you.

I think that's a standard mid-roof?

Thye put awnings on to the high-tops which I think are similar in make.

Fiamma do a set of brackets that look like two flat plates that can be used on high tops and the mid roof I believe
