Awning rail tracking rain on to step

Hi guys. Currently in the Lakes on our first outing, and as it normal for the lakes. It's raining.

We have a VaMoose awning rail on the van and whenever the rain picks up its running off the back end of the rail, down the side, into the sliding door track and then pouring into the side step of the sliding door when it's open.

Has anyone else had similar and know of any fix as we don't want to have to keep the side door closed all the time when in the awning.

Has it got an end stop?
If it has and it’s over spilling that, then the only way to stop that is to raise the back of the van so it drains to the front.
If not, it’s going to happen unless you have a real nose down parking position.

Yeah, it's got an end cap, but there's a slight gap behind it. We were on a fairly flat caravan pitch so not the angle of the van. Going to have a proper look when we're back home. Just going to have to keep the door closed whilst the heavy rain is about.

We were looking to have a fimmia awning fitted but the awning rail has been bonded and screwed.

I think you can still have a fiamma awning with some rails.

Will have a look into it
Following a 5 second lack of attention in a very windy Skye recently, our Fiamma brackets were damaged, so we had a Vamoose rail fitted and proper Fiamma F45s brackets attached to that. Good job done by Tamworth Transporters.
Never turn your back on a deployed unpinned F45s even for a few seconds!
The Fiamma rain guards are a good purchase too, they stop unwanted drippage.

Hello - new member here. We have a T6.1 with a Dometic PW1100 awning, with integral awning rail. Dometic do not do a rain gutter to cover the gap between the casing and the van roof. Would the Fiamma rain gutter do the job? We do not have a separate awning rail

As long as the Dometic PW1100 is flat at the back toward the roof, you should be good to use the Fiamma rain guard. They work really well. You may have to cut and splice around the brackets.

Thanks for your replies. I’ll give the Fiamma a go - he who dares wins!

I used a length of black plastic 15x15mm angle, B&Q £4, and bonded it to the back of the Awning so any rain drips into the gutter, depending how big the gap is, you can use different sized plastic IMG_3115.jpegangle, was a cheap fix for me and no leaks

Much better for the economy to spend over £80 on a branded bit of rubbery stuff though...
Edit...
With no branding...
