Awning with black out bedroom

Hi Everyone,

Looking at getting an awning for the caravelle. We are a family of 4, with 2 under 4s that wake up very easily on a bright summer's morning. So I'm trying to find which awnings have (good) blackout bedrooms.
My priorities (in order) are:
Blackout bedroom
Drive away style
Air beam if possible but not allergic to tentpoles!
Price wise obviously cheaper is better, but not to the detriment of the above

I'm thinking, daytime:
Awning is kitchen etc, van is the lounge.
Nightime:
1 adult + child in the caravelle bed, 1 adult + child in the awning bedroom.

I appreciate it's not what you are asking but have you thought about a wind out awning rather than a rail, our Thule wind out awning has the kador strip built into the case so it's like having a multirail with the bonus of the wind out awning too.

We are also looking for a good air tent to use with our T6 so would be very interested to hear/see good blackout setups.

I was quite tempted, but don't think I'd use it much and don't like the idea of carting it around 24/7

So far the best I can see are the coleman journeymaster ones:

They seem to have very dark clip in bedrooms, and also that section of the awning has a darker outer too.

Another alternative idea I came across was:
His implementation is a little scrappy with the duct tape etc, but with some proper eyelets, it could make most bedrooms black out.

We have the pole version of the Coleman Journeymaster pro M, loads of space in it. The blackout room occupies around half of the total space and is removable. Awning folds up with the blackout section installed no problem.

The Coleman people have had a quality control issue where the lower black area on the outside can turn brown in sunlight and as a result have been selling them at a discounted rate. No structural issues, just colour fade. Ours is still black. Got it from Winfields of Haslingden.
