Banded steel wheels without low suspension?

Hello everyone !!

Tyres are at the end of their life so time to look at wheels...

Considering 18" Banded steel wheels 8.5j front / 9.5j rear. I've got a Lwb Kombi that's got factory 30mm lowering kit from new, will these wheels look pants as it's not low enough ? Has anyone got any pics of a similar set up ? Not seen it so reluctant to spend the money until I know if I'm going to like it.

I've also considered the older audi RsQ3 5 branch 19" alloys, but need to check load ratings as it's a T30.

It is a work vehicle so still want to look business but the current Devonports look a bit lost in the arches.

Any pics of the above you may have would be good to see :)

Hello there

Do you have a picture of your wheels? Did you get any other pictures sent to you? I am looking at steels 18” and want to see some examples first, same boat as you where in I guess.

Just an FYI.
I did a bit of digging a while ago and found these guys:

Not banded steels, but 18" steels with various PCD's and offsets that can be ordered from the US.

I've got some VW 18" steel wheels (supplied by Tamar Wheels) being fitted in the next week or so - winter wheels. My 20's will then be cleaned, and wrapped up nice and warm during the damp and cold weather.

I'll be running 255/45R18 tyres with a 40mm H&R drop on a SWB Kombi

Happy to post some pics when they're fitted.

Hi mrt6, which steels did you go for? I’m looking at getting some steels in my t6 204ps, not over keen on the devonports and want some winter tyres. Like the 5-spoke type, not available in black though, could get them powder coated.

I’m toying with getting the 18” banded wheels on mine but looking for pics and comments from owners before I take the plunge so would be good to hear from PWE again

I've just ordered some

Weller wheels are manufacturing 17" steel wheels for the T6 in various widths from 8.5 to 10.5.
Weller Wheels Ltd
It's one of the options that I'm considering as I'd prefer to fit wheels manufactured to the required width than wheels that are banded to the required width.

just be careful with 17s on a T32, they might not clear the larger front brakes
