Starter battery is draing down after 2 days,wont turn over,dash cam off ,tracker off,battery is 5 years old,where to look first,FUSE !,OR SOMTHING I HOPE IS SIMPLE FIX,WHAT IS THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM OUT THERE,CHEERS EVERYBODY

At 5 years old, the most likely cause is a buggered battery, especially if it is of the EFB variety.

Best bet would be to charge it up, and get a battery condition check done on it (on the assumption you dont have a battery analyser of your own).

My VAG EFB battery barely lasted 3 years.

Excuse my ignorance, efb variety is what,and what is entailed in a battery condition check, think halfords do that, cheers .

EFB = enhanced flooded battery.

On the T6 there are 2 battery 'types', EFB and AGM (absorbent glass mat).

EFB's are cheaper and dont last as long before they pack up. VAG had issues with a lot of vehicles EFB battery's failing whilst the vehicle was under warranty and often 'upgraded' to the slightly more expensive AGM batteries.

Even if its an AGM, 5 years isn't bad going, so if its the the original VW battery, its probably served its time.

To perform a battery test, its just a case of stick a 'special' meter across the battery terminals, enter the battery details and perform a 'test' it takes seconds and Halfords should be able to do it, fit a replacement and code it in to the vans 'brain' (again a necessary step as the van needs to know a new battery has been installed).

Probably a MOLL EFB which mine is and yes it’s losing charge after a few days I keep a charge on it as it’s on the drive most of the time .. battery went to 5v when I was on hols for 3 weeks .. it will need replacing .. The MOLL are the crap make VW installed .. mine is 2017 T28 Panelvan … I will replace with an AGM .. good luck

Agm it is then,does anybody in cumbria area have vcds to code one in,or it looks like halfords..cheets
You can also use Carista to code. They are about £25 on Amazon and useful to have to check error codes etc.

You need a clamp meter to check for any power drain.
