Do people use these?

I used to run a sports car that would go weeks at a time with no use… so I’d have it connected to a battery conditioner. Think it was called an “Airflow”.

It would kick in to charge the battery when needed and stop it going flat when not being used / charged by the alternator.

My van is not a daily driver and might go 2 weeks without being used. Maybe even longer between long runs.

Do people use battery minders in this situation?

Is there any technical reason why I couldn’t hook something like an Airflow up to a T6 (2018/2019)

Yes. But what one you looking at?

I’m new to the T6 world, but often use a battery maintainer with my Boxster. When it’s not used for that I plug mains into the T6 using a EHU adapter from my garage. I then plug a CTEK unit into one of the normal 240V sockets inside the van and plug the CTEK into one of the 12V sockets on the dash, using a Comfort cable on the CTEK. That keeps the starter battery topped up and means I can leave the T6 locked.

Cable like this
