Battery shorting on seat rails

I recently removed my front seats to feed a cable for a reversing camera. While removing the front seats I had to disconnect all my cables from my leisure battery system.

I put labels on all the cables to ensure they went back to the same place and to make sure there was no mistakes.

Went to reconnect my leisure battery but when the battery clamp touches the seat rail it arcs. Is this normal and I've never noticed before or have I done something wrong.

Elaborate on “ Battery clamp”
+ve/-ve/hold down clamp??

If it sparks then it's the POS terminal.

1st off you should have protective terminal covers.

Second something is wrong as the seat frame should never touch the battery terminals..... That's a fire waiting to happen.

If your asking if that's normal? Would suggest you might be best taking to an auto electrician to get sorted.

Failing that......

Have you fitted the spacing shims from the seat swivel?

Did you take the battery out?... Is it clamped down properly?

Have you re fitted the terminals correctly?

A few pics will help.?
