BCM upgrade for ccs on T5 GP

Hi guys,

I know it's been brought up a thousand times but even using the search function I haven't solved anything, I still have a lot of doubts...
i need to replace a BCM last numbers 086 in a T5 GP model with a newer one 087 version to install ccs on a 140hp engine

after reading all the various posts I learned the following steps i need to do


1 - read from old bcm long code from address 9, 19, (and 61 if battery regulator is present)

2 - backup all the adaptations with the specific function in VCDS

3 - read and save the Gateway installation lists.


after that, install the 087 BCM (used or new is the same)


1 - write all the long codes read by the old bcm

2 - write all the adaptations

3 - write the installation list on the Gateway...


that's ALL???


or i need to do some other coding or something else?

I would expect also the keyfobs (central locking) need to be adopted by new BCM.

First get your existing remotes wiped with channel 00 and then perform adaptation with channel 01 of all remotes that you have or want to use. The first part is a bit scary :eek:. I have been hoping the adaptation on channel 01 would simply add a remote. On a T5 MY06 you could add a remote...

I heard that there is a need for extra wires to be connected between bcm and cluster or is it only for extra cruise control fitting?
