Curious as to what people used for this. I'm building my own U-shaped slide out bed but i'm wondering what people material people generally use for the slats. Whether i should just order and cut some standard bowed slats or is 18mm flat ply fine for the job?
I used 12mm ply, but depending on how you are doing it ikea has bed slats for a good price, they're pre curved and springy. I may redo it in the future using them
Ikea slats for me. Just cut all the material off and jobs a gooden. Just remember to cut equal parts of each side as they’re curved in the middle! Never felt any difference sat on it as a seat.
