Best sound insulation for underneath rear factory load mat

As mentioned in the post, what would be the best stuff to stick onto my load area floor so that the factory rubber mat will still fit on top of afterwards. I have lined all the rest of the rear with 2mm Silent coat and Dodo mat foil backed foam roll ( about 6mm I think) but I fear that this will be too thick to use on the floor and refit the rubber mat afterwards. I could just fit 2mm Silentcoat if that would do the job. I see from other threads that the Dodo Deadn Duo rubber mat has been used but this is 6.8mm thick and again I am not sure if my factory rubber mat will fit back on top. Any advice would be gladly received before I buy the wrong stuff.

If you’re keeping the factory rubber floor, 2mm silent coat will be enough, the factory floor is pretty thick and is good for deadening and insulating (that’s what I’ve done).

Thanks for that. That is what I will do. !!!
Hi, sorry I know this is an old ish thread but very relevant to my current situation! I'm in the process of sound deadening, insulating and carpeting my T6. We are using a 'reputable' conversion specialist and they have advised me to keep the OEM spongy rubber floor in the rear. Just wondering how you got on with sound deadening/insulating underneath? and if the 2mm silent coat did a good enough job? I'm just a bit concerned on the amount of effect (if any) it would have on the desired 'keeps van cool in summer. warm in winter' ? We will be using it to sleep in as a multipurpose conversion!
