A little note on improving fuel economy.
After ‘upgrading’ to a ‘17 Caravelle 150ps DSG I was hoping for an all round better drive than my ‘10 plate 140ps 6sp manual Kombi.
It’s better in every way except fuel economy. Until now!
After talking to Simon Bevan at Bevo Tuning I was sure he was the man to sort this van out too (he did my last).
I struggled to get much more than 31mpg around where I live on the long term counter. Mixed A and B road driving with minimal traffic (some areas are quite laney / rural).
Simon worked just magic on the van using The Engine Tuner’s dyno and on a mixed journey today into and around Cornwall and back (circa 80miles) I’m getting over 38mpg - it’s got a much smoother power delivery too.
Overall I’m blown away at the difference this has made to an already pretty great vehicle.
