Beautiful place Cornwall, hoping to get out there in the Summer, bit more of a biking challenge than Suffolk.

Still not tried surfing yet, maybe I'll try it this summer.

We go away from 23rd July to 30th August but if you're around out of that period, happy to give a few pointers on surfing. Ex beach Lifeguard (now Coastguard) so can drag you in if it all goes pear shaped!

Hell yeah, sounds good, PM me your details, good to have some contacts for when we're in the area

Or drag him in (to the water) if not listening?:rofl::rofl:

I got one of these but not from here . Mine is for two bikes but a great rack for the money . It has quick release with locks

Saris Supaclamp hitch rack looks good as it does not touch the frame of the bike.

Fiamma have finally brought out a T6 bike rack, but it's not cheap.

Hi Scruffy!

Have you purchased this at all? I'm only looking to carry 2 bikes, genuine VW seems it does 4 bikes on the there tale gate version unless I am missing something. I don't need 4 spaces or want it sticking out too far.

Cheers

I had the westfalia towbar fitted and the Thule euroclassic g6 928, not cheap but it is a nice setup. Easy to remove the bike rack when not in use.

I just bought the VW bike rack for our Cali - we only have 2 bikes and never gave the fact that it's a 4 bike rack a thought. It does stick out a fair bit I must admit, though unless I'm being dim with 2 bikes you need to use the 1st and 3rd slots on the rack to enable to fit the locking arm properly?
Looks cool when its raised up though!

We have the VW version on our LWB.
It is very easy to put on and off the tailgate and does sit nicely when folded up.
However it does stick out a long way when down.
We only carry two bikes but they are easy to put on the rack.
You do need to beef up the hydraulic tailgate struts though to assist tailgate opening...... but watch
your chin when you don't have the bikes rack on!!

I'm getting the 4 bike Cali rack and have bn told that the struts need upgrading..expensive bit of kit at £650 but I don't fancy the cheaper fiamma version..bit flimsy

Was that the 4 bike Fiamma you say is flimsy, I wonder if the 2 bike version would be the same or a little better

Yeah the fiamma 4 bike rack isn't built as well as the VW one..the 2 bike rack might be ok but it seems you get what you pay for with these racks
