Black Out Blinds: UKCustomCovers

Two thoughts I have.
1. Would it 'sag' in the middle if there only 2 poppers on each pillar.
2. How are to door one secured? As any material hooked over the door may create a damp issue?
2a. Whats the material vrs condensation.
2b. Can you wind down the windows for night time ventilation?

I’ve bought these and used them. I had a few issues with first set but they replaced them at cost and were good with their customer services.
First set didn’t fit windows and were cut wrong, additionally the poppers seemed to be of poor quality so kept springing off. The front fit on three poppers down a pillar with the top stretched across loops over sun visors this keeps the sag out and fabric tight with poppers just really allowing coverage of glass. The smaller sides attach with just magnets sewn in edges and stick around window frame, not hung over anywhere and are cut to fit aperture. The magnets in shade trim are well protected and won’t scratch the metal. I don’t think/not tried winding the window down with them up but given the way they attach don’t know why you can’t, think limiting factor is magnet strength.

The set I have works fine now, material is good, easy to put up and do the job of keeping the light out.
I prefer these to outside blind as it darkens the front and side to match my rear tinted windows and I also haven’t got to worry about packing it away if it’s been pissing it down. Insulation wise I can’t really comment but have used as a shade during the heat wave and seemed ok.

We use these blinds on our T6 also had them on our T4, if you have wind deflectors and put your window down before putting them on they are fine.

You do get some condensation with them but you get that with any internal blind.

We use them for 10 months of the year and use Rainbow external screens for Jan & Feb when it’s coldest.

VW T5/T6 Transporter Cab Blinds

Looks good if you need total blackout, but I don’t really like the idea of fitting the poppers, maybe a little unsightly?

T5 Cali blinds have a blind/curtain that Velcro's around the mirror and hooks to the sun visors, it has rope sewn into the bottom seem to lay on the dash where the air vents are. The side blinds have magnets that stick to the inner window runners/doors. The T6 only has the side window blinds as the A posts have built in retractable blinds.
I don't know if that helps, could be worth pricing up a set for your van.

For anyone who's thinking about the T6 Cali A pillar blinds but is now on a heart monitor as a result of pricing them up, can I alert you to my cheaper (but still expensive) alternative A Pillar Trims

I meant the curtains not the A pillar ones sorry.
