Bleeding coolant ....... vehicle wallet message.

So, had my van serviced yesterday, '22 plate T28 140 DSG & now every time I turn the ignition ON I get the message BLEEDING COOLANT ...... VEHICLE WALLET in the instrument cluster display.

Anybody had this issue or able to offer any advice please ?

I'm working away from home so can't get to the dealer in Liverpool. There are no warning lights either & the van seems to drive ok.

Open bonnet. Switch on ignition but do not start. Wait 5 minutes. You should be golden.

Thank you "Howzat" ;)
I was having my tea in a pub when I posted this so I tried it when I got back to my B&B. I actually forgot to open the bonnet, but followed the rest of your procedure & your procedure still seems to have worked anyway & now the message does not appear when I turn the ignition switch ON.

So, thank you for that & can you explain what was going on, just for my curiosity ?

No idea.
I just googled your error message, saw the the post I linked and passed on the info.
I suspect its just a procedure that VW Liverpool didn't complete as part of the service.

Bonnet doesn't need to be open to carry out the process.

It's just the auxiliary coolant pumps running, and has nothing to do with the service that's been carried out.

The 'vehicle wallet' part is because it is in your vehicle handbook, with regards to what to do when the message appears.

Fair enough, do you know what causes the message then please ?
It just seemed odd that it started happening immediately after it was serviced.

I did think it was saying check the handbook, but I struggled to find the relevant page.

Mine did this only after the change over valve had been replaced under warranty and the coolant bled. I too couldnt find the relevant page.
