Blow Up Awning

We recently purchased a Khyam Motordome tourer. It has taken a year of research and reading then waiting to see one in the flesh before we purchased. Our criteria were:
Ease of erection and break down, joining tunnel covered whole sliding door when open, pack size for storage and quality/service back up.
We looked at Air and poled awnings which all had pros and cons but the Khyam fitted our requirements best overall.
We also have a Fiamma F45s which is great for quick stopovers.

Hi, can I just suggest that you have a look at the Khyam drive away awning called motordome . They are not inflatable but have built in poles and work like an umbrella.
We have one of these and a Vango inflatable - which one do we use the most? The Khyam.
The only issue with the Khyam, IMO is no built in ground sheet..yes its a bathtub type but I am sure the draft would bug me.. but as above horses for courses.

Some do, ours has a clip in groundsheet but the slightly larger Dub-hub has a permanent built in ground sheet.

@Deaky

I like that.

How does it attach to your roof? I can't see an awning rail on your van.
The awning rail is fitted to the edge of the roof cassette. You can only see it from above and you can’t see it at all when the roof is down.

Ahh! That's pretty cool. I didn't know you could hide one there. Wish I'd have known that before I had mine fitted on the side of the roof!

Ordered a DubHub whilst at NEC show the 2019 model does now have a sewn in groundsheet. Like the flexibility of different openings.
Wow, I went to the same show, asked the same question (as the one on display had a detachable bathtub style groundsheet) and was told “no it doesn’t have a sewn in sheet as you can see here on this display”.
I am having huge issues in trying to find the right awning for how we need to use it.
Had an OR Movelite airbeam and had to sell it.

Got me worried now...we were told the display models were just that , display only and the new version was with "sewn in".
As wife says if it isn't then it goes back..she's going to call Kyham tomorrow to verify.
Had air beam awnings whith caravan before now but just something about them I don't trust..

As Fish says @Victor19, keep us posted. Bit dodgy they have claimed “display only”. Not doubting what they told you, just find it strange that they would have “display” units which are different to the actual sale item.

Maybe its not in mass production yet?.

Just been on Kyham website and this is what it says as part of the blurb for the dub-hub

The inner-tent has a fully waterproof sewn-in groundsheet for added protection against those pesky insects and the typical camping weather!

Definitely not what they told me. Mrs DaveyB has just confirmed the exact same thing as she was stood next to me when they said it.

Update
Wife has spoken to sales ream at Kyham Leicester and they confirmed we have on order a Motordome Classic Pro new for 2019 and still in production hence the end of March delivery date.
Not sure if this replaces the dub hub and sorry if it's caused any confusion.
They also confirmed it definitely has a sewn in ground sheet.
Checked the website againfor classic proScreenshot_2019-03-06-11-10-35.png see thumbnail
