Bluetooth symbol flashing on dash [resolved]

I’ve just installed a new head unit in my T5.1 and everything seems to be working, however the Bluetooth symbol keeps flashing on the dash (see video if I’ve managed to successfully embed it!).

Has anyone seen this before and have any idea how I can fix it?

I’ve swapped from the standard T5.1 head unit (RCD 310 I think):



To the newer discovery media unit (with correct plug and play kit):

what about Component Protection etc.?

was the radio un paired from the old van and repaired to the new van?

Did the vehicle have Bluetooth before ?

Issue resolved, I just need to disconnect the old Bluetooth module behind the glove box!
