Boiling hot or freezing cold

I have the basic air con in my van and l spend most of my life moving it up and down one notch, anyone else have this issue?

The other thing is that hot is literally at about 3 clicks from the coldest setting, so come winter I might be able to get to turn the nob past halfway lol

I felt the same so kept the setting where it was a bit too cold and adjusted the other one to throw the air 30:70 for windscreen and vent which seemed to work ok...

Mines 100% windscreen using the logic its at least its not blasting at body or legs but still freezing my nads off lol

I've read in another post that if the air con is pointed to the windscreen it will blow out hot air unless set to the coldest setting. Try directing the air flow to another position and you might find you get better temp control. I've found this to be the case in my van and it solved the problem.

This has baffled me for ages. The number at either end of the scale don't really follow with the temperature range you get out the vents. I do however love how cold the aircon gets. It's great for getting a Mc Flurry and driving 20 mins to get home so that the Mrs gets a frozen desert. It works well when she has signed for more van stuff when I'm supposed to be saving for the conversion.
And then one notch and your Chinese stays warm in the footwell whilst driving back. I might start work for delieroo.
