I want to replace the double seat in my T6 with a single seat. Before handing over a massive lump of cash it would be nice to check that what I buy is the correct one for the vehicle. Does anyone know what the bolt should be on the base of any seat I buy?
Hi.
afaik all t5 to t6.1 single seat bases are fairly interchangeable.
You can fit a drivers base on passenger side or vise versa.
Look out for if the base was originally from LHD of RHD and location of side pocket / handbrake mounts.
The bolt pattern matches the 4 outer most bolts of your existing double and also your drivers single.
I’ve done this myself and it’s a straight-forward swap. You’ll just need a single seat base.
The double seat is secured by 6 bolts. Once removed, the single seat base fits directly onto the 4 bolts closest to the passenger door. The bolt placement is correct and the single base should fit straight on. Once fitted, you’ll just need to remove the 2 unused bolts which can be unscrewed.
If you want to be certain, buy a single seat base and confirm it fits before buying the seat itself.
