Boris Won’t Close This Pub

A very sensible approach and one of the top reasons I have kept my business closed. As hard as it might be, it only takes one picture on social media of a company name on a van or t-shirt for a reputation to be tarnished, so I totally agree there. The public are certainly not afraid to have a pop at people working as we've already read on here, so grabbing a pic from a distance and whacking it on their FB isn't difficult to imagine.
We are only carrying out emergency & critical works. I have parked up all our sign written vans and the lads are driving the plain vans for that very reason.
We haven't furloughed anybody as yet as the company is strong enough to keep paying them and as @DaveD said, it's taking money from the government that can be better spent elsewhere.

I was planning a trip to westons brewery tour with few of us off here this year but dont look like it will happen this year, love vintage but can kick ya arse 8 bottles in 4 hours you know about it :rofl:

Ya fighter!! 5 bottles equals a bottle of whiskey... I still haven't recovered from the family christmas party, 5 westons, bottle of fizz, couple of gins and a jar of jager on ice... (bro in law swears jager cures you before you get it! - whatever it may be! :rofl:)

5 bottles = a bottle of whisky:oops:. 1 westons is 4.1 units lets just say 6 is my max now o_O

Any jobs going :)

Just roofing and plumbing at the min pal.
Will certainly give you a shout if any sparks needed.
Could do with a plasterer who can board as well.
Im fed up of playing with wires :rofl: pretty handy on the copper tube and hep20.
I can board and get plastered at the same time does that count :whistle:

Does any have a manual for A Wife ?
Mine has started making a wining noise. I've tried lubricating myself with Desperado but that just seems to make it worse.
Any advice gratefully received.
There’s a place in America that could help....something to do with Stepford..some sort of wife’s club :whistle:

That looks like a good solution but I can't book a flight.:(
Apparently the U.K. has similar setup called the W.I ...it helps them learn Cooking, Cleaning, and socialising skills ..so no need to travel ...until things get better ..just offer her a few treats.....Gin and the movie Titanic works for mine..;)

It's only happened since its been parked up at home. Normally, daily travel to and from work seems to relieve the problem.
I've tried wearing my noise cancelling headphones but I find that causes flying debris in my direction.

The bricks match the house and the garage which you cant actually buy anymore. the house was built in 1989, its for my parents.

@Lord Mfwic
We’re you based work wise

Andy
We cover the UK but mainly our work is Nottingham, Leicester, Midlands and Manchester area.
Our main work is Government office building, so whilst we are classed as key workers, we are only doing emergency works (Water leaks, Vandal damage etc) at the moment.
Edit.
We also do a lot of NHS works in Nottingham but I don't look after that contract.

@Lord Mfwic

We run a plastering and dry lining company
Doing anything from domestic to full office and shop fits, KFC, Costa coffees, Taco Bells, Wildwoods Zizzs etc

After lockdown and all is fine if it suits we could have a chat / meeting
Even if it’s only your works when your busy

Food for thought
Thanks for your time

Andy
