Broken Headlamp Tab

Has anyone tried glueing the tab back on and fitting the headlight successfully? Any problems with this course of action?

Is it 1 of the locating tabs? VW supply a location tab repair / replacement kit for most of their models these days....Any pics?

Are they H4s? Maybe cheaper buying a 2nd hand one!
