Bulb upgrade

Hi All,

I was going to do the H7 upgrade but at 400 quid i'm now considering the following instead which is 60 quid.

H4's - Osram Nightbreaker Laser +130%
H11's - Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited +110%
P21W - Canbus 382 27* 5050 White SMD LED Bulbs (Seen others have used these with no errors)

Any advice ?

Actually, £400 sounds quite cheap. I thought it cost more than that to specificy the H7 as a build option and over £1000 to change afterwards.

I've got H4 and replaced the standard bulbs with Philips XTreme vision +130% and it did make a difference.

TBH, if I was doing it now, I'd probably go for the Racing Vision +150% as it was a pain to change them and these are not much more money.

If you go for the extra H7 set up I think you will still want to replace the bulbs.
I have fitted Philips white vision in my h4 and they are ok. If you drive in the dark all year then I would go led if you can afford it. I think it's just the VW yellow bulbs that make them

I went with the H7 upgrade, have not got the van on the road yet but hopefully will be worth it. The dealer told me today that they wont be available until the 6th July as they have modified/upgraded the existing H7 light unit

I wonder if VW have listened then to all the complaints and have modified / upgraded the existing H4 light unit also for MY18... My build is week 28.

I have the Philips Racing Visions fitted. IMHO you need every lumen you can afford with H4s.

They haven't changed the 14 year old design of the leaking sliding windows yet. VW have never been ones to accept there is anything wrong with their products....ever.

Hi they were only available to order after 07/07/2017 as they are some new updated version! The dealer ordered them on Friday so I hope to have them within next few days and I will keep you posted as to what changes they made.

And can they not hold off registration for a week for you, got mine some time in may I think and just parked it at home till 1st July but it suited me with holidays and working on the van anyway
