C-pillar cupholder removal

Some bits and pieces of the kid's phone charger came apart and fell down through the 12v socket in the RH c-pillar cupholder. Does anyone know if that cupholder can be removed without removing the entire lower rear side panel? I've been searching around as well as pulling and cursing and so far my cup holder is still installed...

I am having the same issue. I note that someone has removed the whole rear panel but no mention of the cup holder which must separate.

Did you ever figure it out? Looking to do the same thing, except on the other side of the car (looks the same just sans the 12V socket).

No, I didn't. Seemed like the whole panel had to come out so I gave up.

I found the attached exploded drawing. Looks like take lower grill out and try locate the fixing screw.

Thank you, good to know! The other side does not have the grill, I fortunatelly managed to undo the sidepanel enough to do what I needed to
