Just what I’m after, as already got my drive away and looki my to add a sail for the summer.
I currently have OEM roof bars and cross bars, does the camper essentials fit with the roof bars?
Really like the idea of them using the original bolts and being discrete!

Yes.

Camper essentials do a kit for that. Which I have as it goes.

The kit is special rubber mounting blocks and longer bolts.... It was £25 if I remember correctly. I've never died them.

I have the two roof rack bars.. .. the kit allows the roof rack to be fitted with the c channel, and still use it

this is what i bought, . . .

the spacer kit, for the ladder bars, so you can use the C-rails with the roof bars.

its 4x fancy dense rubber spacers, and 4x longer bolts. . .




they sit ontop of the rail, and space the roof bar up so it clears the C-Rail.






the original plan was to use them with these roof bars. . . . where i had the roof box,

as i had twin C-rails on the van.

but as it turned out, i only used the roof box the once.

The plot thickens @Dellmassive what make and condtion is the roof box?, how much? I sold my old Thule with the thinking of buying a towbar box when I sold the caravan! But never got round to this, I really need to check the load rating of the OEM cross bars aswell! The kit for the c channel to fit the roof rails aswell is what I’ll need with the c channel.

I feel I’m over with the canoe it’s about 34kg… the bars aren’t as sturdy as my old “van roof bars”
