Does anyone know what this connector plug is for in the wing mirror? I know the thin brown/white are for the heating element in the mirror but can’t figure out the black connector block???

Have a look at @Dellmassive 's definitive guide

Hi, I have googled for hours but cannot find any info, i am replacing my mirrors for electronically folding ones, I have done most of the work swapping them over, however, the replacement mirror has an extra cable as compared to the one i removed, I have identified it in the diagram and photo below, but cannot find any info what it is for. My best guess is maybe there is some option for auto dimming side mirrors!??

Before i reconnect everything I would like to identify what it is if possible.

All help much appreciated!

The mirror OEM part number is: 7E1857408AL9B9

I just did another search and found another thread, with the same question, its for the side assit indicator, which i dont have so for now ill tuck it out the way and ignore it!

Does anyone know what this connector is/was for? It comes out of the loom coming from the van to the mirror.
Ex RAC (if the orange wasn't obvious enough!)
There are no parking sensors, so the hazard warning light on the mirror option seems unlikely.
Unless the sensors are completely different
