We went there for the day last summer, tbh I was a little underwhelmed by it. The old town is nice to wander round, there’s a fort that free with an interesting exhibition on how an ammunition dump blew up killing lots of people, there’s a car park on your left as you drive towards the old town which we used or by the fort there is a car park which I noticed had a lot of campervans in. Seville is much nicer and close enough for a day trip to Cadiz
On our way to Cadiz in couple weeks. Any suggestions?
Hi
we are too in May as part of our road trip, 1 night planned their. Do let us know if its worth a day. lots of spanish towns are very samey, castle, fort, old town etc.
We went on a dolphin and whale watching trip last summer but didn't see any whales, just dolphins (and a sunfish).
If you do go on one, be careful if you have data roaming on your phone as you end up quite close to Morrocco and so pings from their cell towers which registers you out of any EU zone allowance you may have (we are on O2 so EU is still included). Ended up with a hefty bill when we got back for the 30 minutes or so were nearby which came as a shock but managed to have it waived when called them to emphatically deny we ever left Spain to go to Morrocco!
