Can I remove the adjuster collar to drop rear 5mm on solow nsl?

Hi all. I have solow nsl fitted, it's on max drop but I'd like to drop about 5mm more at the rear. I know I can buy the adjuster delete kit but can I not just unscrew the locking collar and keep the rubber washer and threaded top mount in place. Seems it would do the same job as the adjuster delete, or am I missing something? Thanks

Thanks. Yeah I know I can buy them from THQ, just seem to do the same job as the top mount with the rubber washer on.

The delete will centralise the spring....... the threaded adjuster alone will be smaller diameter than the spring and it will not seat correctly and potentially move/rattle.

Try it. If it works then all good but if it rattles then you'll need a delete.

You need the adjuster delete as @Pewt said. The walls on the central tube are thicker and designed for the purpose

Just risky buying them if they then make it too low.

You don’t need the adjuster delete. Remove the adjuster ring, but keep the threaded sleeve and the plastic collar. That is effectively doing exactly the same job as the adjuster delete would be.

Just looked at my NSL kit I'll be fitting in a couple of weeks. As mentioned above you can lose the lock ring as it's a two piece design, lock ring and separate plastic collar.

Let me know what height this gets you to. I'm 380mm to wheel centre on the rear and hoping NSL gets me to at least that.
