Can i use existing DAB aerial with new after market head unit

Hi,

I am about to buy a new headhunt for my T6 for a number of reasons but i want to utilise the existing DAB aerial. Is this possible. I am looking at the Pioneer SPH-DA130DAB In Car Touchscreen as i want to also install a reversing camera and have CarPlay etc.

Also how do u go from the quadlock to the the more standard looking connections on the back of this unit as shown on image below??

Yes, I did it, albeit with a T5. It was a small adaptor lead, worked perfectly.

I actually brought a spare adaptor as it was hard to locate, though I’m sure @Absolut5 will stock them.

I’ll dig my spare lead out and take a picture for you.

Here you go, I can't remember where I ordered it from, all I know is (at the time) it took me a lot of googling to find it.

Got a feeling I had to order it from China. Like I say, these could be 2 a penny these days!

Black connector went into a blue VW lead I believe, the gold lead goes into the back of the aftermarket unit.

Mine worked flawlessley.

I think i have found a few online. How much is it and do you also sell the CTVWUSB.4 that allows you to keep the OEM usb port working? How much is that too? Also how do i buy? Cheers

Highly recommend you talking to Jason at @Absolut5 there's not much he doesn't' know about all this and great guy to talk to about headhunts / reversing cameras etc.
