Caravelle door seals better than panel van?

I've fitted a caravelle passenger front door to my panel van and when I close the door it closes with a nice thunk, noticeably better than the previous door, and better than the driver's one. The only difference is the door seal, as I swapped everything else. Does that mean that there's a factory option to give the "golf" door appeal, as well as aftermarket seals?

I believe the seals are standard on a California and Caravelle
