Caravelle Executive pre-sales query

Hi all,

Just popped to a dealer to see one of the Caravelle Executive T6.1 up close and personal and have come away with some questions that seem to be un-googleable, so here I am.

First up, wireless charging isn't an option I can find, and is either standard (according to my memory of a brochure I read) or "not remotely, who told you that" - what's the gen on this?

Secondly, rep seems to suggest we would need to spec the "Discover Media Pro" including "Streaming & Internet" from the options list for the wireless carplay to work. He also suggested some of the features of the sat nav in combination with the Virtual Cockpit wouldn't work unless we did. Brochure doesn't mention that either.

On the wireless Charging that has appeared in brochures since early last year with the statement available late 2020. I am still awaiting a build date for my exec ordered sept 2020 and assumed it was standard and I would get it when mine arrives but asked my dealer last month and he said it is not standard or available in the uk. As such I am a little frustrated as the brochure makes a big deal about it but it is not the end of the world I guess. On the wireless CarPlay I did read the model year 2020 updates made that feature available on non pro head units, worth a search for the my changes.

I'll check that out on the wireless CarPlay, seems to be hard to me to formulate into a decent query - and in deed, whether to believe what I read.

I was told the wireless charging bucket is available as a "part" from "parts", if that's any consolation.

@Wuffles wireless charging is slow compared to a cable in my car when charging both at the same time (VW Tiguan), so wouldn’t bother although didn’t see it as an option either when I ordered my caravelle - Nov 2020

Did order the Discover Media Pro though
