Caravelle leaking sliding doors

Hi guys,

I hope anyone can help with this. When it rains heavily, water collects on the inside at the bottom of rear sliding doors. It does not drain out but its clearly coming in.
When you open the door, you can see water coming out.

I asked VW who told me its a common issue and not to worry as it has 10 year paint guarantee. Is this correct? I had other cars with sliding doors and never had this issue.

Thanks,
Diane

Try the search engine, there’s many threads entitled “leaking window”

Thanks, yes I have seen those but I have never asked about leaking windows.

Windows on mine are absolutely fine, its the whole door that appears to be leaking at the door to frame seal rather than the window.

I haven't seen any posts about that. VW suggested thats a common problem too and nothing to worry about. Thats what I was querying.
