Carista code P226D

Hi, just wondered if anyone can shed any light on this code that has appeared on Carista?

Engine light came on so ran a quick check and this one came up.

Thanks, is this a diy fix do you think? How safe is it to keep driving for now?

Have a search for DPF.
If you have carista or similar you could try a forced regen then take it for a blast up the motorway
OR
You could try to remove the DPF and give it a clean.

You can drive it for now but you'll just keep getting the engine light until the issue is fixed.

I may try the forced regen bit first, is that quite straight forward on carista?

So driving it won't do catastrophic harm?

In the above there are five cases - two of them were resolved by new DPF. The rest three still unknowns.

My guess is the fault will prohibit DPF regeneration which eventually (in less than 300 miles) blocks the DPF with soot. You definitely have to monitor this.

EDIT: It seems that DPF regeneration works regardless.
