Carpet lined panels and Harrison Trim clips

Hey folks,

My best mate and I are currently converting two t6’s and I have a question; my ply panels are carpeted correctly, but when it comes to pushing them into place there is way too much tension and the clips don’t hold.

Is this normal, and would I get away with lying the panel flat and raised in the middle to ‘force’ it to bend in the direction I need?

Cheers peeps!IMG_8137.jpeg

I think it's gotta be longer clips to solve this - am assuming you've sorted it now though?

Ya the standard clips don't like to play with carpet no matter how thinly applied they are..

I also like the seamless look but for practicality removing, access etc, torq screws with black with plastic surround and with the nylon inserts you tap into the body makes more sense.. unless someone has solved the seamless look that doesn't need the clip renewing every time you have to access the panel?

These fixings look great, how do you get on with them? Do you have a link for where you purchased them?

I’ve used them on my older transporter and bomb proof.. panels been off several times never come loose etc.. there are quite a few sellers on eBay do packs but instead of cross head screws I picked a box of torq from wickes.. still to change on the new van as from gte customs and they have create seamless sides without panels or any access which is a nightmare for fitting sound deadening, speakers etc..

Had this seller in my watch list but appear to be out of stock at the moment but should be plenty about
