Yes some great improvements to iOS and MacOS announced. Unfortunately I’m still stuck on ios10 on my iPhone as there are two 32 bit apps that I have to run

It would be nice if VW did some updates on the headunit, the iPhone X does not play very nicely with the Discover head unit.

What problems you having @Insert Coin ? I've not noticed any issues myself

About 1 out of every 5 times I get in the van, connect up the usb to the phone and then the phone and headunit start fighting with each other, they connect and then disconnect ad infinitum.

I've swapped leads (Apple genuine), rebooted the phone etc. My brothers been using my T6 for a few days and he has the same phone and same connection issues. I've only got one USB socket (grrrr bloody muppet salesman) so I can't try another socket.

Usually if I hold the head unit power button for 30 seconds and let it all reboot then it will connect successfully, but it's an arse and there's no real pattern to it.

Skipton have got some nice Alpine headunits, I'm tempted to go down this route at some stage.

Mine does that occasionally, I "Forget the car" on the phone, reset the head-unit and re-pair and seems to be okay for a while.

Ok that's worth a go, thanks.

You'd like to think the flagship phone and Carplay would work seamlessly though wouldn't you?!

Only USB, for CarPlay
I’ve had this a few time’s but found that i had got some pocket fluff in the lightening cable port!! If you turn phone off and get a pin you can remove and fluff from in the port which give’s the lifhtening cable a better connection as it can be pushed in and it locks into place!! It’s worth a try!!

Its definitely a software issue. There is no fluf in da muff..

I quite often have to disconnect then reconnect the phone, at least to get Spotify working. It’s not consistent so impossible to work out what’s causing it
