CBE Dimmer Failed

I’ve got one of these installed for my LED lights.:
When I switched on the lights last night they wouldn’t go brighter and the rotary switch feels a bit loose. I’m assuming a new one is required unless somebody can tell me that there’s an easy fix. As usual, any advice much appreciated.

If it's just the knob loose on the shaft (no sniggering at the back please) you might be able to glue it.

Unmount it and take it apart, looks like you can just remove the PCB from the back once the back cover is off? You may find you need to remove the knob and undo a nut below it first.

If it's the potentiometer that's gone (assuming it's a pot, unlikely to be an encoder) then you may be able to replace it but they are normally quite solidly mounted so it can be a pain to do with a small hobby soldering iron and when they go they tend to lift the tracks off the PCB.

Some pictures of the inside would help but, to be honest, I'd probably just replace it.

@roadtripper. Thanks for the quick response. I took it apart this morning and quickly saw that the spindle (or whatever it's called!) on the knob had sheared so I've ordered a new one from Clearcut Conversions for £26. Should be a 10 minute job when it arrives.
