Hi all i purchased a new CBE dimmer switch for my puck lights and after installation I noticed that when it was in the off position the led lights were on but very dim. Turned the dimmer on and the lights come on and dimmer function works as it should.
I decided to take the dimmer switch apart and after a good look about on the pcb I noticed that a 102 ohm smd resistor that sits between ground and 12v out wasn't soldered on one side!
I soldered the resistor onto the 12v out pin and after testing the switch in circuit it works like a dream and no dim lights when the switch is off.
May not be of any interest to some but if you have the same issue as me then you'll know what the issue is and how to fix it.
