Ceiling strip

Hi guys,

Am in the process of replacing my bulkhead fixing screws with rivnuts and wonder how to remove the plastic strip that's halfway along the ceiling?

Thought it's best to ask in here before I just jank it off and break something

Its held in place with a few plastic clips, prise it downwards towards the floor. It's quite probable that some of the clips will break.

I assume there's a steel box/rail above?

Pull the lever slowly and pull it out at the same time.

This is what they look like. The square bit slides into a channel on the plastic strip and the round bit is in a hole in the frame across the roof. The plastic rod is the bit that usually snaps.

Perfect, can put my rivnuts in their holes in the frame

Lets hope I don't break more than two

All sorted, managed to keep all clips in one piece and found two hex holes under there to pop my rivnuts into, result
