Ceramic Coating

As my van is a keeper what is the collective view on whether to Ceramic Coat or not?

I have read different reports on longevity of the coating - what happens as it wears out / becomes less effective? Will the paint become patchy and require another coating or does it simply fade without any visual impact?

Also - does anyone have any recommendations for detailing companies in and around the Peak District including Sheffield and Manchester.

I've just spoken to a local car valet who I'm thinking about getting to do mine (when it finally arrives - was supposed to be this week but inchcape Trafford park aren't returning my calls )

He said it needed to be applied on a dry cloudy day and would last 2 years - he's done it on planes and boats as well as cars etc

I'm based in Bolton and the guy does call outs, maybe I'll get mine done and then let you know what's what?
