CFCA Cooling liquide

Bought a used broken CFCA motor to restore.

The shop who changed that motor said the problem with it was that it pushed out cooling liquide from the expansiontank.

In my world a blown headgasket or a cracked head.
Buy I can't find any issues. Both the head and the gasket look's good.

Any suggestions?

Send the head off to be properly pressure tested, it may look good but still have a microscopic crack.
BTW, what are the cylinder bores like? Are they scored, worn, lipped? Measured against the specification? On a CFCA, this is a must do before proceeding!
The trouble with rebuilding an unknown engine, is a lot of the back story may be missing, or worse still, they have told you a load of BS just to get shot of it. These CFCA vans really are a hot potato, there must be so many out the being sold with knackered engines, just to move them on, as a lot are now write offs because of the cost involved to fix them vs the age and spec of the vehicle.
