I considering a project, but my comment is larger than my knowledge so If I go ahead I might relying on a help of this forum members.
What is your thought a bout such conversion?
I would like a Caravelle with a 4 motion and it seems the CFCA engine is the most available.
I know all the issues of the CFCA and I know the limitations of the biturbo if I wish to go for large power, hence I would like to find out the possibility of a single turbo conversion.
As fas as I know the difference on the engine loom between the Biturbo and the single turbo is the wiring of the turbos.
Therefore in theory, if I replace the engine loom and the ECU and fit a single turbo with custom manifold and down pipe should do the trick.
Vacuum system might need some re plumbing too. I did not checked that.
Any thoughts on this?
