Chair Pod fitting on a T 6.1?

Just purchased and fitted a VS chair pod, it does what it said on the advert, it holds two chairs up under the tailgate, but I can't help thinking the fit isn't what I expected for the money, I'm not that fussy, but even the Mrs said it doesn't look like its been made/designed to fit the van? Just wondering if we're being too fussy? Is that the fit and finish I should expect for half a bag of sand?

I like the idea of them, but everything I’ve seen of them leaves me with the same opinion.

It doesn't really fit the door, there is an obvious recess where the rear door card would have fitted, I wrongly assumed that the chair pod would have fitted in the same recessed area but it doesn't.....it'll do.... but I'm finding it hard to justify the money.

when I get the van back I'll see what I can do.
