Chrome trim removal ?

Hello all
I’m looking at removing the chrome trim to get painted on my t6.1. I’ve seen some YouTube videos and it seems fairly straight forward. Is there anything I should he weary of ?

Don't stress it, use fishing wire or dental tape layered up. You might be better off wrapping it as it's a right faff painting them. I've painted my but that's only because it's my trade.

I’ve just had my van done by leighton so was hoping to send them back to them. I told them I wanted to leave chrome but once home I’ve decided against it. Does fishing wire really work ?

I thought fishing wire was for badges? The trim is clipped on.

No they are double sided. Anything thats not metal will work. I use dental tape at work as it's easy to get hold of and cheap.
