Climatronic blowing cold on one side.

Hello All, I'm new to the site and a relatively new T6 Caravelle Executive owner. Absolutely loving it so far and wish we had purchased one ages ago! I have a quick question, and I have searched a little for it, but didn't see anything right away. So our van has dual climate in the front. Now that it's getting colder out, we put the heating on the other day and while the passenger side was blowing relative warm air on high, the driver side was blowing cold. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the issue could be for the low temp on passenger and cold air on driver sides? I've done a bit of research and have seen that it could be a temp sensor in the duct work? If so, is this hard to replace? I don't mind taking things apart. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome,

T6 Caravelle Executive is a pleasant environment to drive in. Can we assume that you have pre-adjusted the climate controls on both sides to the same or similar temperatures? Like many, I do not particularly enjoy studying the manual just to operate simple everyday controls like heating for example buy I did not find everything too intuitive. Perhaps too many years driving around in rough and ready off road vehicles where opening windows was the only climate control.

Hiya, thanks for getting back. I've changed both of them up and down, down and up....synced....unsynced...and there is just no heat coming out of the driver side. I'm at a bit of a loss.

The heater flap arm becoming disconnected is a relatively common fault on the T6/6.1 if you look around the forum with the search.

That's the most likely if one side works and the other side doesn't

I've got the same issue but the other way passenger side cold , drivers hot. Strangely passenger side blows hot with the air-conditioning on cold!! At a bit of a loss!!

1000025820.jpgso had this code on my mates code reader. I still haven't had chance to bottom the issue , super busy renovating a house for my daughter!! Managed to do a flap door reset which got some heat through on both sides so no more steamy windows!! Set the temps to 21degs so working at the minute..... the problem started with getting hot blowing through the passenger side in summer when the air-conditioning was on , cold on drivers side. I need to sort it as I've just put a deposit on a 6.1 and my son is having the velle 5.1....so need to fix it for him.....kids eh!!
