Cnc Ply Panel Doesn’t Fit

hi guys ,

I bought some ply lining for a T6 - some of the panels fit fine but the larger full side rear ones don’t come close - the shape is fine however all the pre drilled holes don’t match up.

The panel has holes for the top and sides where the only holes my van has are on the lower side. How do people fit panels when there are no holes to attach?

There are a few people on here that have had similar problems. I sent mine back and got them to send me another set without any holes. I then used the OEM panels to mark and drill my own holes. It somewhat defeats the point of ordering pre cut panels but it was the best way to get them fitted properly.

The supplier said they had never had a problem before but that’s clearly not correct.

Apologies I’ve just realised that you did not have full height OEM panels. I would just mark and drill where necessary. I would also treat the new drilled holes in the metalwork.

Most commercial panel van lining is just fixed with self drilling screws into the metal....

Or as above drill,treat,screw.
.

Could well not fit, only suggestion is try as I thought mine didn't but when i started they pulled in quite a bit around the radius and fitted perfectly then.

Thanks I have given it a good 30 mins on just one panel - I can put one in then the rest are thrown off but most telling is the panel being moved out of the recess - see pic over the middle small panel.

I am probably going to have to use self tapping screws as there is nothing to fix to. Does anyone have pics of theirs with self tapping screws ?

Just a word on the height, I made a mistake thinking my panels were too tall. I cut them down a little, but when I came to attach (having drilled new holes as mine didn't line up either) I found that with the curvature of the van, the panel would have probably fit if I had left it as it came. Luckily I hadn't taken off a massive amount so there was no gaps, but I could easily have really messed up.

Thanks I have proper bent it into the shape of the van - I did take about 20mm off the bottom corner as it was digging into the Altro a tad on the edge

Ok so I ended up using self tapping screws to fix the panels as there was nothing to screw to on the top part - I also fitted the usb sockets.

I am also having a magnetic section to the other side as well - this will hold my phone on the wall while it’s charging from usb - got to use my router which scares the s#%t out of me but is awesome!
