Coil spring orientation

So I noticed my T6 was visibly slightly dipped on the rear passenger side (2 finger clearance on wheel arch as opposed to 3). Took to a garage and they think that the new driver coil spring on driver side has been put in upside down. Do you agree ? The driver side is the one with the ‘stripes’ at the top …

Yes, the stripes should be at the bottom.

Thanks - yes I thought so. The surprising thing is that the new one was fitted by a VW commercial garage and has since also passed MOT and service… with it obviously fitted wrong.

The lower, rubber seat in the top photo also looks to have a tear in it.

While I had a pre-paid VW service plan I had two easily spotted defects that should have been picked up on the Inspection Service, neither were mentioned.
